Sweet and spicy aromas are follwed by vanilla and toffee flavours wrapped in an intense alcohol finish complimented with hints of dried fruit and a mild tartness.

De Koningshoeven is the only Trappist brewery in Holland after gaining it's official status back in 2005 following a dispute with the International Trappist Association. The brewery is the most commercialised of all the Trappist breweries, however, the monks have retained complete control over the brewing process, providing the authenticity.
