This beer is an interpretation of an authentic 20th century provision Saison. It is aged in oak barrels, with the natural presence of Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus providing a complex tart and vinous character to the fruity dry Saison base.
Crooked Stave are obsessed with the blending of innovative brewing science and artistic creativity in the brewhouse. Because of this experimental nature, they are best known for their use of Brettanomyces and other wild yeasts within their beers.
