The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of brewer Urban's mind. His idea was to realise a double dozen ales with the use of Black Albert, over a period of several years, that are black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with massive taste. Glenlivet aged.

De Struise have achieved a huge amount in the last 15 years, shaking the Belgian beer world up with their big flavoured strong ales in the process. They were voted Best Brewery in the World by the members of Rate Beer in 2008 and many of their brews have featured in the Top 30 Beers in the World since 2005, most notably their strong, spiced fisherman's ale, Pannepot.
