This Double IPA pays tribute to the year of the first recorded use of hops in beer. It pays tribute by utilising some of the most powerfully potent hops available to us today and harnessing them in beautiful harmony.

Founded in 2013 by Russell Bisset, Northern Monk approaches beer making with an open mind to all methods of brewing. This has led to a hugely diverse range of beer and styles. Their move to a grade II listed building has seen the brewery move onto the next level, with a state of the art kit and onsite tap room (lovingly referred to as 'The Refectory) meaning you can taste these fantastic beers at source.
