Belle de Louvain’s quickly became a team favorite due to it’s juiciness and sweeter taste, being an ideal marriage with the acidity of our beer, when picked very ripe.

Belle de Louvain is an old Belgian variety.  For this Belle de Louvain, we usedhand-picked in Limburg, Belgium. Maceration took almost four months and the lambikken for both maceration and blending originate from six different barrels and thirteen different brews, of which the oldest brewed end of October 2018.

The weighted average age of this fruit blend is almost 22 months. The final proportion of fruit used is 385 grams of plums per litre of Pruim. Almost half of the cereals used originate from Pajottenland.

Founded in 1887, 3 Fonteinen originally specialised in the blending of Lambic acquired from other breweries to produce outstanding Gueuze and Kriek beer. In 1998, they expanded and began brewing their own, however they still use beer from breweries such as Boon and Girardin to this day, making their output a true representation of the Lambic culture.
