Overview

  • By making a purchase from this site, it is deemed that you are accepting to all the terms and conditions. Beer Gonzo reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any point without notice.
  • In accordance with the Licensing Act 1964, it is an offence for any person under the age of 18 to buy or attempt to buy intoxicating drinks. By placing an order you are confirming that you are aged 18 or over. We reserve the right not to deliver if we are unsure of this. You will be contacted if this is the case.
  • If your order is for another party and it contains alcohol then the recipient must be over 18 years of age. This is deemed to be the responsibility of the person placing the order to ensure this.
  • We aim to ensure the prices shown on our website are correct. If a mistaken price is shown we will make every effort to contact you to confirm if you would like to carry on with the order at the new correct price.
  • We make every effort to supply all items listed on this website. However, due to the ever changing nature of beer industry, there are times where this may not be possible. In these cases we will contact you and offer a substitute with the same or greater value or offer a refund for the item out of stock.
  • We want all our customers to be happy with the beers they are drinking. If a beer is damaged or if your delivery is not the same as your order (wrong product or if a product is missing) contact us immediately at web@beergonzo.co.uk.
  • Due to the ever-changing nature of the beer industry we reserve the right to withdraw and replace products without notice.
  • We take every measure to make sure all of the information on our website is correct, however, we will not be held responsible for any information that is incorrect.

Payment

  • Payment can only be made using credit/debit cards through Worldpay. However, please contact us by phone or email if you do not wish to pay online. We can take payment over the phone.
  • Card payments are made through a secure server via Worldpay. Beer Gonzo does not store our customer's financial details. Your details will never be sold on or passed to any other parties. No staff at Beer Gonzo Limited have access to, or can see your details at any point of the transaction if made via the website.

UK Delivery

  • We charge a fixed shipping rate for UK MAINLAND delivery of £7.99 per order.
  • Unfortunately some remote locations, the Channel Islands, Northern Ireland and some parts of Scotland have additional shipping costs. These additional costs will be automatically added to your order when you specify your delivery address.
  • We aim to get your order to you as fast as we can. This will usually be within 2-3 working days, however, Beer Gonzo cannot be held responsible for delays that are outside of our control.
  • If you do not receive a confirmation email within 30 minutes of ordering, please check your junk folder. If you still have no order confirmation, contact us on web@beergonzo.co.uk.
  • Any delivery instructions you request with us will be passed on to UK Mail, however, Beer Gonzo cannot be held responsible if the instructions are not followed by the delivery driver.
  • We ask that you contact us immediately if you encounter any issues regarding your delivery and we will do our best to rectify any problems as quickly as possible.
  • If you have selected ‘signature at address only’ and nobody is at the address when UK Mail makes the delivery, a note will be left to arrange a redelivery. If you don’t arrange redelivery via UK Mail then they will redeliver the following day. Again if you are not home a card will be left to explain that you have to collect the parcel free of charge from you nearest UK Mail depot. Failing this, we will need to collect an additional card payment of £7.99 for redelivery. Please contact web@beergonzo.co.uk to arrange the new delivery.
  • You can have your beer delivered to another address if you wish. Just use that address as the delivery address.
  • Please take care lifting cases of beer and be careful as occasionally breakages do occur. If you can tell a bottle has broken, open with caution and beware of broken glass.
  • Damaged or missing goods will be refunded or replaced.
  • Occasionally we miss a beer that has past its best before date (BBF) – if this is the case please e-mail us at web@beergonzo.co.uk and we will issue a refund for this item.
  • Goods lost will be replaced free of charge.
  • Deliveries have to be signed for by somebody over the age of 18. Our couriers will ask for Identification if they are unsure and rearrange delivery if nobody is at the address over the age of 18. There are no refunds for orders made by people under 18.
  • If you have selected the ‘leave with a neighbour’ or ‘leave in a safe place’ delivery instructions, this is completely at the customer’s own risk and Beer Gonzo cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that occurs as a result of this.
  • Beer Gonzo will not be held responsible for delay or non-delivery due to causes that are outside the control of the parties, such as natural disasters, that could not be evaded through the exercise of due care.
  • Beer Gonzo is not liable for any loss or liability arising from the circumstances of force majeure.
  • If you have not received your delivery after 5 working days, contact us at web@beergonzo.co.uk so we can investigate.

Click & Collect

  • If you wish to collect your order in person, simply select the ‘Collect from store’ option when checking out. You will not be charged for shipping and you will receive an email confirming that your order is ready for collection.
  • Our only current location for click and collect orders is our store in Earlsdon in Coventry.
  • When collecting your order, you may be asked to quote the order number and may also be required to show ID.
  • If you wish to send a third party to collect your order, simply inform us at web@beergonzo.co.uk, quoting your order number and where possible, providing the name of the person collecting.
  • You are advised to consult the store opening times before making your journey to collect your order. The opening times can be found here
  • You are advised to check your order on collection so any errors can be rectified quickly.
  • We will hold your order for as long as you wish, however, Beer Gonzo cannot be held responsible for any items that pass their sell by date during this period after the sale.
  • We are only able to process Click & Collect orders during business hours Monday to Friday, if you place your order outside of these hours we cannot guarantee that the order will be available at the shop for collection until the next business day.

International Delivery

  • We ship to most countries worldwide and the details regarding road and air shipping are below. If you do not see a price to ship to your country, contact us on web@beergonzo.co.uk and we will be happy to assist with a quote.
  • To place an order, simply go ahead as normal on the website and your shipping rate will be calculated and charged accordingly.
  • Beer Gonzo will not be held responsible or liable for any additional taxes or charges imposed on the goods on entry into the destination country when shipping an international order. Responsibility for any additional charges will be solely with the customer.
  • If the goods are refused entry to the destination country and sent back, Beer Gonzo will not be required to refund the shipping charge. When the goods are received back, Beer Gonzo will offer a refund for the goods only.
  • Our delivery instructions option is intended for UK mainland shipping. Beer Gonzo cannot be held responsible if delivery instructions are not adhered to by an international courier service.
  • To ship by road to European countries, there is a maximum of 30 units permitted per box. Below is a table detailing each size bottle/can and its unit value. You will be charged for the required number of boxes to ship the number of units you have ordered.

  • To ship elsewhere by air, there is a maximum of 5 litres of alcohol permitted per box. If you go over 5 litres in your order, you will be automatically be charged for the relevant amount of additional boxes to ship the number of litres you have ordered.
  • If the delivery country is outside of the EC Fiscal (VAT) area, you will not pay VAT on your order. This will be automatically deducted from your invoice.
  • Below is a table detailing the cost of shipping 1-10 boxes to different countries by air. Shipping by air can take up to 14 working days, depending on where you are shipping to. The typical time to ship to the USA is 4-5 working days. If you do not see a price for your country, please contact us directly at web@beergonzo.co.uk and we will be happy to assist.

Returns

  • By law, customers in the European Union have the right to cancel the purchase of an item within 14 days beginning from the day they, or a third party indicated by them, receives the goods.
  • To cancel your purchase within the 14 day cooling-off period, please email web@beergonzo.co.uk and we will send you a cancellation form which you can print out.
  • Please package the relevant item securely and send it to us with the cancellation form within 30 days following the date that the item was delivered to you.
  • For your protection, we highly recommend that you use a recorded delivery service.
  • Please note that you'll be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged, defective or incorrect.
  • Refunds will be made as quickly as possible but will always be within 10 working days after we have received the goods and they are in a good condition.
  • It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the goods are correctly repackaged and safely returned at their expense.
  • Our couriers UK Mail can collect any returned orders but this will be at the customer's expense. Please email web@beergonzo.co.uk and we can arrange a quote for you.
  • If you wish to return the goods yourself please contact us at web@beergonzo.co.uk to arrange and check opening times.

Cookies

  • We use cookies so that our website can identify you whilst you are shopping with us. Without these cookies you will not be able to add products to your basket and progress onto the checkout. You will not get the full website experience if you decide you do not want to accept cookies from us.
  • We do not use cookies for ad tracking on Beer Gonzo’s website.
  • We do use cookies to anonymously gather site usage statistics for Google’s Analytics platform.

Direct Marketing

  • We will not use your e-mail address for direct marketing unless you explicitly opt in. We do not use postal addresses for marketing; you will only ever receive marketing e-mails if you have expressly given consent for us to contact you in this way.
  • We use Mailchimp to process your data for direct marketing. Their privacy policy and security practices are compliant with GDPR.
  • You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time. On every marketing e-mail there is an unsubscribe option clearly labelled in the footer. We can also manually remove you from our list if you request. If you have any further questions or would like to be manually removed from the list please contact us at web@beergonzo.co.uk

Privacy Statement

  • When you make a purchase with us or register your details you consent to us recording, holding and using your personal data to complete our sale with you.
  • We need this information so that we can take payment for your order and to be able to ship your order out to you.
  • If you checkout as a guest, this information will be retained for 7 years, after which it will be deleted. We need to keep your data on record for this length of time as proof of residency for varying international VAT rates in the event of an HMRC audit.
  • If you have opened an account with us, we will take this as your ongoing consent for us to retain your data for future order processing. We can delete accounts on written request, although we will be obliged to keep certain historical information from any orders placed for HMRC purposes. If you would like to delete your account, please contact us at web@beergonzo.co.uk.
  • We do not share your details with any 3rd party other than those required to complete your order. Typically this will be Worldpay who handle our payments securely; UK Mail, our domestic logistics partner and Parcelforce Worldwide, our international logistics partner. We will never share data with any marketers or similar 3rd party organisations.
  • In the event of a data breach we will ensure that any customers affected are notified as soon as possible. We would also report any breaches to the Information Commissioner’s Office as is our responsibility under GDPR regulation.
  • Our website is hosted in the UK, when you provide us with your personal information it remains within the UK/EEA and is not transferred to a 3rd country.

Wholesale Privacy Policy

  • We use Mailchimp as our e-mail service to keep you up to date with our latest availability lists, upcoming pre-orders and delivery information. We do not add people to our mailing list unless we have been requested to do so. On every Mailchimp e-mail you receive from us there is an option to unsubscribe in the footer. If you would like to be manually removed from the list or we have added you in error, please contact us as wholesale@beergonzo.co.uk.
  • When you submit an account form with us to open your trade account you consent to us recording, holding and using your data to complete our sales with you. We need this information so that we can complete payment for your order and to be able to ship your order out to you.
  • If you have opened an account with us, we will take this as your ongoing consent for us to retain your data for future order processing. We can delete accounts on written request, although we will be obliged to keep certain historical information from any orders placed for HMRC purposes. If you would like to delete your account, please contact us at wholesale@beergonzo.co.uk. Please note accounts cannot be deleted until any outstanding balance has been received.
  • We do not share your details with any 3rd party other than those required to complete your order. Typically this will be GoCardless who handle our direct debit payments securely; UKMail, our courier partner and UPN, our logistics partner. We will never share data with any marketers or similar 3rd party organisations.
  • If you choose to apply for a credit account with us we will use your data to carry out credit checks against your business and its directors. Director’s personal information will be kept on file whist the account is open, as this is required for a personal guarantee. If once any outstanding balance has been settled you would like us to delete your account please contact us at wholesale@beergonzo.co.uk.
  • In the event of a data breach we will ensure that any customers affected are notified as soon as possible. We would also report any breaches to the Information Commissioner’s Office as is our responsibility under GDPR regulation.
