Scottish Double Oatmeal Stout

Brewed with two types of oats which make up over one quarter of the malt bill for this beer. Locally sourced Gloagburn farm rolled oats grown 22 miles from the brewery, and Golden Naked Oats from Simpsons malt, which are lightly caramelised providing a nutty creamy character. The combination of these with additions of chocolate malts and roasted barley, provides a beer with a silky mouthfeel, mellow chocolate and coffee notes. Drink young or age, this will develop over time.

Founded in 2021 by Vault City co-founder, Johnny Horn, Holy Goat is focussed on playing the long game and allowing their beers to develop with wild yeasts, fruits and barrel-ageing.
