The first large commercial breweries producing beers using hops were brewed in London by Flemish immigrants. The porters that followed were aged in large vessels for a number of months resulting in a beer that would have acidity & a brett character not unlike Oud Bruin styles of their home regions. This pre-industrial porter is an homage to those styles. Not at all a porter of modern day, expect a light brown beer with a dry acidity & slight balsamic character.
